The short version
Prize money — 48-hour window
When an event finishes, prize money is calculated from the final standings and credited to each winner's 64SQRS wallet within 48 hours of the event closing. For most events, the credit lands within minutes — the 48-hour cap is the worst case for events that need an anti-cheat review window.
Why the delay?
Lichess publishes a recommended anti-cheat hold window for competitive games. If a player is flagged for cheating after an event, their position is forfeited and prizes shift. We honor the recommended hold so we don't have to claw back already-paid prizes.
The exact hold per event is set by the organizer. You can see it on the event detail page as a banner: "Payouts release in 22h" during the wait.
Bank withdrawals — under 24 hours
Once you request a withdrawal from your wallet, the amount is immediately deducted (so you can't double-spend) and queued for transfer. The transfer goes out via Paystack to your verified Nigerian bank account.
Typical settlement: under 24 hours. Most transfers settle within 10 minutes during banking hours. Off-hours and weekends can take longer — we don't control the banks.
What if my payout is late?
A reconciliation cron runs every 30 minutes against Paystack to catch transfers that stalled. If the cron can't resolve a transfer (the most common reason: a typo in the bank account that Paystack accepted at link time but rejects at transfer time), the transaction is flagged for admin review.
If your withdrawal is in PROCESSING status longer than 30 minutes, you don't need to do anything — the cron picks it up. If it's been more than 24 hours, contact support and reference your transaction ID from the wallet page.
Anti-cheat delay — when it applies
The anti-cheat hold applies to prize payouts, not to withdrawals from your own deposit. If your wallet contains money you deposited yourself, you can withdraw it anytime — no hold.
The hold only matters for prize money on rated events. Social events with cash prizes settle immediately at event close.
Audit trail
Every transaction — deposit, entry fee, prize payout, refund, withdrawal, sponsorship — appears in your wallet's transaction history with a unique ID, timestamp, and status. You can export the full history as a CSV statement at any time from the wallet page.
For tax or dispute purposes: records are retained for 7 years per Nigerian financial law, even after account closure.
